How does it work?

Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA)

• This product employs dual-band bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) technology
• Water and minerals in the human body can conduct electricity, but fatty tissue has little conductivity.
• The product sends an extremely weak electrical current of 50 kHz & 100 kHz through your body. This weak electrical current is not felt.
• The low frequency can measure the extracellular fluid ratio
• The high frequency can pass through the cell membrane to measure the intracellular fluid ratio
• The electrical signal passes quickly through water, but meets resistance when it hits fat tissue. This resistance, known as impedance is measured.
• In order for the product to determine body composition, it uses the electrical impedance, along with your height, weight, age and gender information to generate results based on algorithms/data of body composition.
